Friday night was my second of 3 Christmas Stamp-a-Stack classes I am hosting. It was a fun group of ladies, some ol' friends and some new. We made 10 more cards (5 designs, 2 of each) and made sure they were all sparkly! I am all about the sparkles. I am sorry that my pictures don't show the beauty of the shimmer and sparkle. I will be working on my camera and lighting skills. Here are the lovely creations that the ladies made:
Santa's Suit....I have seen other Santa cards but I wanted his shirt to open so I designed it so the belt was held down by the mitten on the right hand side. He's all sparkly with glitter and shimmer spray but it's difficult to see. His inside looks like this...
I thought about making the inside his t-shirt or long johns but didn't have time to work that out so I used the Top Note die and I think it works.
I borrowed this card from my upline and have seen it on the Stampin'Up! demonstrator website. Very simple and elegant. I used red Stickles and shimmer spray to make it sparkly.
Well, I am having a problem posting all of the pictures so I will have to try again later. If you can't wait till then you can view the rest of them on my friend Cathy's blog http://scrappincatscreativeendeavors.blogspot.com/ She has lots of other fun stuff on there that she has created.
See ya later!

Newsletter/Calendar
Yay! I finally did it! I finally put together a newsletter and calendar for my stamping classes. It's only the first one and just a start. I hope to add a tutorial or idea sheet or something. Also, it only goes thru November right now but I will be putting together some December classes as well as some Valentine classes for January. If you are interested in receiving the newsletter by email just send me a note and I will add you to my list.
Big Shot Class
I attended Evelyn and DeDe's Big Shot class today to learn some new things to make with my Big Shot Die Cutter. Here are the cute things we made...
This is a felt coaster made with the scalloped square die and the Lattice die. Simple, cute, and functional. The colors came out funny here, it's really just red and green, not orange and green.....although those are my HS Alumni colors......
The next project was a simple and cute card using the SU wood sheets. The letters are all cut out of a wood sheet and sponged or stamped.
Sparkly and Bright....too cute. We glittered Rudolph's nose with red glitter and textured the background paper. And just when you think it can't get any cuter....DeDe and Evelyn gave us a gift of tags to go in the box......
Here's the finished set including the card we made last. I of course have to apply shimmer paint to it all but I think they are just adorable. Fun class to attend. Thanks ladies for the great ideas!

The next item is my favorite. I really love the boxes. Big ones, small ones......I love them all!

I love gifts.....
Who doesn't like getting gifts? I certainly do, and last night when I hosted my card class a couple of my friends brought me a gift that they had made! I just loved them so much that I have to share them with you....
First of all, isn't this a stinkin' cute card???? Cathy is so talented and so up to date on all the paper crafting methods she knows just how to make the best use of all her scraps. Look at how fun this card is, it just makes me smile!
And this is the cute little gifty.....it's full of Hershey's miniatures....yummmmm....
Linda also is multi-talented in paper crafting and has all the gizmos and gadgets. She used her Pazzles machine to make this cute candy bar wrapper......I almost don't want to eat the chocolate......ALMOST.....chomp!
Thanks ladies for sharing your talents with me too!

Christmas Stamp-a-Stack #1
I just finished my first of 3 Stamp-a-Stack Christmas card classes and it was a blast! My friend Cathy & her mom brought a group of friends from work and they made 10 cards each. (2 ea. of 5 designs) Here's a few pics of the card designs they made....
I spotted these apron cards on SU Stamper's Showcase and had to make them. They are sooooooo cute! Everyone agreed. Although we couldn't find candy canes to put in the pouch so we substituted a peppermint candy. Yummmmm......
I sponged all of the vanilla paper and the inside and the shimmer spray is really fabulous....sorry the pictures aren't clear enough to see it....

I used the Norther Flurries texture plate and Stickles to enhance the snowflakes as well as spraying a Shimmer Paint mixture on the whole card. I actually used the spray on everything.....you can't have enough shimmer as far as I am concerned!
Dasher was stamped in gold and embossed with glitter embossing powder. I just love the gold on this one. I used SU Deck the Halls designer papers and shimmer spray again......

Last but not least, the Mitten card. I saw the mitten idea online and added it to the easel card. Love the vintage colors too. There is glitter on the cuffs of the mittens and yes, you guessed it....shimmer spray on teh whole card. This was my favorite to make.
Oh, and a couple of the ladies brought me a little gifty that they made too, but I will post those in the morning as it is getting late. Thanks ladies for a fun evening! Check back tomorrow, or uh, later today........goodnight!
