New Catalog & a Play Day!

IT'S HERE! The 2012-2013 SU Catalog is here! It went live on June 1st and is filled with wonderful new stamps, accessories, and In Colors. Get yours today! Host a workshop,  call me, email me, or attend my next Card Buffet on June 22, 2012. I look forward to sharing all of the NEW goodies with you.

A couple of weeks ago, my friend Cathy @ScrappinCat'sCreativeEndeavors and I got together and made a variety of cards. We got to play for almost a whole day! I so look forward to the time we get to spend together crafting, we really have a good time. We decided to CASE cards on Pinterest. Copy and Share Everything is what CASE stands for, in case you didn't know that already. :o) Here are the cards we made:

The idea for this first one was found here. It's from Becky Roberts . I just love her stuff. Her design had a flower on it and I decided to switch it up an make it a butterfly and added it to this month's card buffet. I really like to textures and colors of this one. We used the Everyday Enchantment DSP from this year's Sale-a-Bration. I wish I had bought more of this paper! We also used the fairly new Labels Framelits. I am really starting to like them. They can be used for frames, labels, even a cool way to enhance a saying. Cathy dressed the inside of her's with a framelit, you can see her's here.

Cathy found this one here. It was made using the New Bright Blossoms set. I loved the simplicity. This is becoming a favorite set of mine.

Cathy found this card here. It's made with the Mixed Bunch stamp set. This one flower is my favorite. We liked it so much we did it in red as well!

It's simple and fancy. I made another card like this that looks like snowflakes. I will post it another day. These ones have pearls added, but they also look great with glitter, what doesn't???

This is another design found on Pinterest. It's from Becky Roberts again. I just love her style. I changed mine up a bit by turning it, but that's all. We used the same colors and paper. Mixed Bunch is such a fun set.

Cathy found this fantastic card on Pinerest. It's a gate card. I just love the way it criss crosses to close. You can see the video tutorial here. Frenchie's designs are wonderful and fun to make.

Here's another Becky Robert's design. Isn't the cut out adorable. I've been seeing a lot of this kind of design. This one also has Blossom punches punched out and embossed. then glued to the top of the card to add some texture. You can see the inspiration card here.
Well, thanks for letting me share with you this fun day of stamping. Lot's more to come with new stamp designs and such so check back often.
I love to know your thoughts so let me know what you think by sharing a comment.
Until next time....
Happy Stamping!

May Card Buffet

Friday night was my May Card Buffet. It's been awhile since my last class and I was really looking forward to sharing these new creations with everyone. With the new catalog available on June 1st, I am getting back into the stampin' groove. Hope you enjoy these cards as much as I had fun making them...

This one was inspired by Wendy Bell over at Wickedly Wonderful Creations. She has a really nice blog full of fun stuff. I liked the colors of the one she did and tried to make a card using what I had. They seemed like "manly" colors so I made it into a manly birthday card using the Open Sea(#123032) stamp set. The words are from a long retired birthday set.

I created a card similar to this one at one of Janice Urke's demo get together last month. I added a bit more color to this one. I will post the other card for you to compare it to. I just love this Bright Blossoms (#125497) set from the new catalog Summer Smooches Promotion offered last month. Oh, and I added a little glitter....love the sparkle!!

My friend Cathy over at Scrappin' Cat's Creative Endeavors CASED a card similar to this to one from Becky Roberts  of  Inking Idaho to make last weekend when we were stamping. I changed Becky's design up by using the Mixed Bunch(#125537) set and creating a butterfly. Too bad this paper, Everyday Enchantment was from Sale-a-Bration and is no longer available....love the colors! It's a bit difficult to see, but I used some shimmer spray on this card for a hint of sparkle.

This was a soft and sweet card. I love the colors of the CASED sample by  Linda Callahan and used You are Loved (#123779) set instead of the set used on the original.

Saw this on Pinterest and decided to copy... http://kbpapercraft.blogspot.com/2012/03/going-out-and-coming-in.html. The yellow is so bright and springy. Fresh Vintage was a Sale-a-Bration set and is no longer available. The From the Heart words are from a long retired set as well.
Inspired by a picture on Pinterest by Jill Olsen. I love the collage concept and added a bit of color to the images stamped with the Nature Walk set.  The Happy Birthday is from the Creat a Cupcake set. I used a water pen to add a splash of color to the stamped images. I also shimmer sprayed this. Can you tell I like to sparkle things???

Well, this is the last week to order from the 2011-2012 catalog. Don't miss out on those retiring stamp sets and accessories. I reinstated my SU website so you can order directly from the site again.  I've been working on lots of other projects from the new catalog that I will be sharing with you in the next few days.

Thanks for stopping by. I love to read your comments so leave one for me and let me know which card you like.
Happy Stamping!

More Christmas Frames...

I've been working on a few more Christmas Frames for gifts and I wanted to show you what I've come up with. The first one is like the first one I posted but with some blues in it.
I like how it turned out because I like the blues, especially the snowflakes! The next one I made using CTMH stamps. I love this set! I'm not sure I like the cream and brown, so I may re-do it with other colors, but I'm not sure what colors to use. Feel free to suggest some!
I'm still working on a few more using some different papers and colors. Who knows how many I'll end up making. I thought they'd make good gifts. Did you get a chance to get in on the Clearance Sale I mentioned in the previous post? Wow! Great stuff at great prices. Check it out before they sell out!
Thanks for stopping by. Until next time....
Merry Christmas!

Christmas Crafting & SU Sale!

It has been crazy busy around the homestead with all the Christmas preparations! This is one of my projects for this year. I have seen several examples posted on SU Demo web site and on other blogs and I just had to make one for myself. This is only the first one, I have 2 others in the works! I think they will make fun gifts....what do you think? It took awhile at first because I was trying to decide on what I wanted on each block....once that was decided, it went a bit faster. Now that I have one, the others are going to be a lot faster. I'll be posting the next one as soon as I finish so check back.

August's Card Buffet

Here I am! Back again. Things have been just a bit crazy around the ol' homestead lately. I haven't completely stopped stamping, just haven't been doing too much of it lately.
I hosted my monthly card buffet last Friday with a few of my regulars stampers/friends. It was lots of fun and I worked really hard to produce some new cards for them to make.  Here's a few of them I put together....hope you enjoy them.

Season of Friendship (122752)  is a lovely set from the new catalog featuring two stamps that coordinate with punches. The Bird Builder Punch (117191) and Boho Blossoms (119858). You could choose to color the bird in if you stamp it on white, but I thought I'd save time by stamping black onto real red cardstock. The flowers were stamped on white and colored in with markers. This is one of those cards that fit into a standard letter envelope. I just love that!

This shopping bag card was one we did at one of our demonstrator meetings. It was so easy! You just cut rectangles from your favorite papers, top with a ribbon or twine, and there ya go! I used Beyond the Garden DSP (122342).  Too cute!

This one I have previously shown here on my blog. I just love the pink pirouette and black don't you? The jeweled brad adds a nice touch to the bow too!
Ahhh, Artistic Etchings (120573).....I still love this set. This one was another simple card....just black ink again. I like to show cards that anyone can do with little investment...like the black, white, and red combo here.
I think I'll add a rhinestone to bling up the butterfly...oh, and probably shimmer mist.....because I'm all about the shimmer! :o)

This set is from the new catalog Hostess section. Precious Butterflies (122517) I just love butterflies! This set is full of them!!! I know it's difficult to tell but I used Marina Mist and Baja Breeze Papers....I am working on a solution to these orange pictures.....please forgive me. Anyway, here's another standard size envelope card. I just love to show people how to use what they have to make great cards.

I also posted this card before. I cased it and haven't been able to locate where I saw it....So Sorry!!! I changed it up just a bit by adding some pink and baja breeze to the embossed shwoopie in the center. It made it more antique like and pretty...not so brown. The Bliss set was part of this year's Sale-a-Bration.

This card was inspired by a card on Stampin' Connection. I just love this stamp (Triple Treat Flower 122909) and the fact that you can use 2 punches (Fancy Flower 118073 and the 5-Petal Flower Punch 119880) with it!!! I went monochromatic here with Baja Breeze but also threw in a choice of Wisteria Wonder, and Pink Pirouette. Some people made multiples of these. Too cute!

Well, I hope you have enjoyed the cards today. Thanks for stopping by. I hope to be back again soon with more ideas for my upcoming card classes.  Happy Stamping!
Smiles,
