Demonstrator Meeting Fun, Sale-a-bration, and more....

Last night when I arrived at my monthly demonstrator meeting, I was so thrilled to see the project we were making......

  Winter
  Spring

Isn't this the cutest calendar??? It is so cute and so simple! I love it. Of course, I had to bring it home and apply a spritz of shimmer to the whole thing....because that's how I roll. I wish I had a desk to display it on where others could see it. I will be taking it with my to my workshops and showing it off. So many creative people out there who come up with these fabulous ideas for us to C.A.S.E. (Copy And Share Everything!)

I have also been working on another Love Shack set of cards. With the Filled with Love bundle special we just concluded I made these fun cards to go inside my Love Shack.

I think they turned out well. I am going to give a Love Shack to each of my February hostesses. I hope they will like them. I also hope it will get some people to book during this fabulous Sale-a-bration too! So many free goodies to be had.

What a great time to purchase that large item you were waiting to get. Like the Big Shot! If you were to buy the Big Shot ($99.95), 2 exclusive SU dies ($21.95 ea), and a packet of assorted paper ($6.95), your total would be $150.80 (before tax & shipping). AND because it is Sale-a-Bration you would also qualify for 3...YES 3 FREE SAB sets! WOW! Now that's a great deal! Imagine the fun you could have with all of this!

In the meantime, I have been playing around with some of the new products I have received lately. I downloaded a digital kit Greeting Card Kids to get the cute little girl for this card.

This card was inspired by SU Stampin' Success. A monthly newsletter for demonstrators. I did this as a make and take at my Saturday workshop and the ladies just loved it. You can't see from the lighting on this picture, but there is Shimmer Mist all over the flowers. I used it to moisten the paper before I crinkled it. And the new Framed Tulips Embossing Folder from the New Occasions Mini is just fabulous! I ran the shorter piece through the Big Shot a second time, but just far enough to empression the edge of the smaller piece. And don't you just love the colors? Blushing Bride and Crumb Cake.....very vintage. I love it!
Here's a completed look at the Basket of Love. I filled it with some Sweethearts and a few bath products. The cellophane and ribbon finish it off beautifully, don't you agree? Oh, and look at the blog ID at the bottom. My wonderful friend Cathy over at Scrappin' Cats Creative Endeavors was kind enough to give me some tutoring on blog stuff and how she did things. It's a little rough, but once I work out the lighting issues, my pictures should be much better for viewing and posting! You should check out her blog here:

She is so creative and I am moved to create by her inspiration and those that she finds inspiration from as well. Let her know you stopped by, she loves feedback too!

One last card....This one was made for my Love Shack project. I filled it with cards made form the Filled with Love DSP papers ONLY ON SALE TILL TOMORROW! They turned out very cute. I love the soft colors. Oh, and I forgot the red....yeah, I love em all.
Well, I was a bit long winded today. I am looking forward to posting more this week as I have been inspired all weekend to create. Keep checking back for more...oh, and feel free to leave a note and let me know what you think. It's nice to know people are stopping by and liking what they see......
Smiles,

January 2011 Newsletter

As I was blog surfing today I came across another SU Demonstrator who had designed her newsletter on the SU My Digital Studio Software and knew I had to try it. So, this is my attempt. I have not used the program before so I have to get used to it and learn the ins and outs, but I am happy with the outcome.

I am going to work on Feb., and March now and will post them as I finish. Please let me know what you think at this first attempt. I appreciate your comments.  Here is Brenda's blog where I found the inspiration....and tried not to totally copy her design....Thanks Brenda! http://embellishedbybrenda.blogspot.com/
Happy Stamping!
**Please note, the date for the Basket of Love Class is the 24th, NOT the 22nd. FYI**

The LOVE Shack

I finally finished my big project! Yay me! I saw this project when a friend of mine showed me a gift she'd rec'd from another friend of hers. It was so stinking cute that I had to copy it and tweak it a bit. Hers was a snow shack with a snowman....and there are other things this could be turned into, but with Valentine's Day on the horizon I made it into the Love Shack......
OMG! Isn't this so stinking cute??? It's a house full of little cards and envelopes. What a great gift and it is just the cutest thing. The front opens up to reveal the cards inside. Here's a shot of the cards with matching envelopes.

The cards are 4 x 4 with a invitation envelope that was cut down to fit the card and I added a matching piece of dsp (designer series paper) to create the flap.
I tried to keep it simple. The fun part was making the cards fit the one sheet wonder framework. It's actually a  4 -1/2 sheet wonder for all the cards and patterns, then the bling or embellishments. It took me awhile to re-create from the sample I had, but I did it and I am offering this as a class this month. The class will be held on Friday the 14th, from 6-9pm. The cost will be $15. Please contact me to reserve your spot today! The patterns on the cards may change but the shack will be the same.  This is going to be one fun class and I look forward to sharing it with my crazy lady stampers.
Please let me know if you are interested in purchasing a kit. Thanks for stopping by, feel free to leave a comment.
Happy Stamping!

New Workspace coming together...

As I reported earlier, I was able to get another Expedit bookcase for Christmas and my husband hung it horizontally on the wall above my desk. I am so excited to be able to finish this room and get organized for the new year. I am in the process of organizing all the stuff, but here is a preliminary photo of the new space (changes are sure to follow).
I will probably rearrange this to hold my papers on the bottom for sure, but this was just a start for me. I also hung one of the wire thingies....not sure what it is called but you are able to clip things to it, like pictures, cards, or embellishments like I did.
I am sure being organized will make me more productive....at least that's what THEY say......;o)

Starting the New Year right

Now that the holiday season is over it's time to put away the Christmas stuff. I was doing just that this weekend, though there is a bit more than I had anticipated that needs to be put away, it didn't start me from getting a start on my planning for a new year of stamping and crafting. I had fun putting together a project or two to start the new year out with while relaxing and watching movies with my family on this rainy New Year's weekend. I don't have it all put together or my new schedule set just yet, but I wanted to give you a little preview.........

Just a couple of the cards for this upcoming class. This is going to be a fun one! I call it the Love Shack....wait till you see the rest....oh, but I have to finishing putting the whole thing together.......then I will post the whole thing along with dates and times. It's super cute!
I was also blessed this Christmas to get another Expedit bookcase to hang over my desk in my craftroom....My husband hung in up today and now I get the pleasure of filling it up. I ordered curtains for the patio door as well so my room is really coming together. I just need a bit more organizing......Here's a peek at the bookcase......

I will post pics of the completed room once it is done. I am sooooo excited to almost have this space finished.  Finally....a space of my own.....maybe I will keep the kitchen table clear for awhile.....maybe.......
