Christmas Cards

I am trying to make some simple Christmas cards for a craft fair and this is what I have come up with. I used the Big Shot Texture plates to make the impressions, added a little ribbon, some shimmer mist, and a small greeting (using the scallop punch, lg label punch, and the oval punch) and there you have it. All layered on one card it looks fabulous. Let me know what you think.

All similar in style but a bit different....I even texturized the envelopes.....

Mini Album Card

This fabulous idea came from a very creative friend. It is a card and a mini scrapbook album all in one. It starts with a 12x12 piece of card stock, scored at 6" both sides, and cut along 1 score line to the center. Then I used the SU Simply Scrappin' Kit Christmas Cheer to decorate.

Page 4. This is such a cool idea because after it is used as a card it can go into a 12x 12 album! What a great gift this would be, don't ya think?

Owls Everywhere!

I am crazy about these owls! There are so many fun ways to use them, they are very versatile. I saw several turkeys on other blogs, but I like my the best because his tail is the Daisy Big Shot Die.

So here, the owl is Santa! His little bag is made of another owl with one foot cut off....it looks like the top of  a gift sack! I used the Jolly Holiday papers in the background of this little 3x3 card.

I know I have posted some of these before but I can't get over how cute he is......enjoy....the one on the top left is a mummy if you can't see his wrappings.....hee, hee, hee.....

October Demonstrator Meeting

Here are the awesome goodies that we made at our monthy demonstrator meeting yesterday. Lorraine picked some fun things to create as always. This halloween box is one of my favorites! It uses a Big Shot Fancy Favor for the box base, a square lattice texture plate for the roof, the scallop trim border punch for the decorative edges on the rooftop, a bat punch, the Word Window punch for the windows, a Large Oval Punch for the message above the door, a Large Square punch for the door, and the Small Circle punches for the pumpkin. I added the Owl Punch Bat just because I like him! What a treat....wouldn't you love to get one of these filled with goodies???

Here, we used the owl punch again...the ghost is made my cutting of his little feet.....the bat by adding the wings from the bat punch. Also, the pumpkin is 3 oval punches put together and the stem is from the 2 step bird punch. Once again the Square Lattice texture plate was used for the background.

We used the Bells & Boughs set from the Holiday Mini for this card. The Square Lattice texture plate for the backgrounds. Simple and cute!

This adorable harvest card was made with the Harvest Home stamp set. It was simply stamped in black ink and colored with markers. Lorraine also gave us a chalk board tag from the Definately Decorative Catalog to use....I will post a pic once I find a container to put mine on.....these are great and you will love them!

Tag GIft Box

I found this idea on the SU demonstrator website so I borrowed it.....This slide out box is filled with wonderful Christmas tags. What a great gift this would make, don't you think? I used the Tags til Christmas stamps set, and the Jolly Holiday papers. If you are interested I can host a class on this. Let me know....

Christmas Crafting

Oh my! So, it's been awhile since my last post. I have been busy since we started school the day after Labor Day and haven't slowed down yet! I have been able to squeeze a few fun things in too. Tonight me and some friends made some stamped Christmas Tags and bags. Didn't they turn out great? I just love it! I cased an idea from the Stampin'Up Demonstrator's Showcase...Thanks to Kay Kalthoff.  The bag is a clear envelope with a top note die as the flap. There is a 4-1/4 x 5-1/2 card inside and it as well as the top note and butterfly are textured with the snowflake texture plate in the new Holiday Mini Catalog.

This set is a bit more rustic looking. I used the Early Espresso, Old Olive, and Very Vanilla papers. Oh! and I used the shimmer paint all over everything. Have you seen this stuff? You mix a little bit in a small spritzer bottle with some rubbing alcohol and spray on your paper. It adds a really nice shimmer to anything. The Tags Til Christmas set is also available in the Holiday Mini Catalog for a limited time. There is a matching punch to almost every tag so you don't have to cut them all out by hand! What a fun project. I can 't wait to make more and experiment with some other colors.

Here's one last close-up of the tags inside. These don't have the cording so they weren't finished but you get the idea. Aren't they cute? I hope to sell a bunch of these at the Bella Vista Craft Fair on Oct. 2nd.
