Saturday's Open House

My second event this weekend was a blast! I was able to play around a bit with the 2 step owl punch and make some fun things.....These are cute paper clip bookmarks....what a fun idea!
Here's a cute card with the little guy.....
This bat was cased off the SU website too....such fun ideas....this is a post-it note holder.....
More of these cute little guys in Halloween disguises......
These were my "thank you" gifts for those who attended.....Thanks gals for coming to stamp with me! Now I am off to plan next months fun.......

Friday Night Card Club

Well, my first card class went well. I was able to share some new ideas with some good friends and had lots of fun. Here are the cards we made.
I cased this card on the SU website. Loved the idea of inking the embossing folder before running it thru the BigShot.

This cute little card was taken directly from the SU catalog. I just love the soft colors. Simple and Sweet.

I borrowed this one from my card exchange from earlier this month. The lighter leaves were stamped with bleach. Really cool technique. I am anxious to try this with some other dark colored cardstock.
I couldn't seem to get a good photo of this one because of lighting. The crowns are embossed with "iridescent ice" embossing powder. It's very sparkly....I love it! Another one copied off of the SU website.
And last but not least...."From the Crypt".....I designed this one myself but copied the jeweled brad in the eye from another card I saw a sample of on SU website. I added "Stickles" glitter glue so it's really sparkly too!
My friends were able to make 10 cards.....2 ea. of the 5 designs for $10 (including envelopes). Not a bad deal,eh? Thanks for letting me share with you!

Spooky Snacks

I thought these were fun treats to make as well. Just a simple strip of paper with a stamped skull embelishment added, stapled with a ribbon on top. These are filled with a KitKat and Reese's. Can you say, "Yum!"

Here's a couple more variations of treat holders...

Halloween Boxes

Well, I couldn't get back to sleep after the puppy woke me up at 4:30 am so I jumped up and started to make some of the cute ideas I pulled off YouTube last night.  These boxes are so fun and easy and who wouldn't love to get one of these filled with candy? Dracula and the boys are simple boxes with some paper piecing and sponging. Too fun!

Star Mini Albums

One of the fun ideas I discovered at my SU group meeting was this Star Mini Album. I was so excited to make them that I went home and made 4 of them that night! They are quick and easy and would make great gifts. I am trying to use my old scrapbook paper so I can order new SU papers. Wait till you see how they open up.....
You can add picture and journaling....

Wouldn't this be great with Christmas papers and Christmas pictures? I love it! I will be hosting a class on making these soon. Let me know if you are interested in attending. Until next time....

Mark your Calenders

Since starting back with Stampin' Up! I have been trying to get organized and promote my new business any way I can.  I had to set up a calender to schedule workshops and such so I decided to stamp one. This is just August but I love it! So many things you can do with stamps and the new Idea Book & Catalog is full of great stuff. I am hosting an Card Class on the 27th and an Open House on the 28th. You can check out my Stampin'Up! site for details. Come join the fun!

Gift Card Holders

I saw these cute gift card holders online and had to make them. They are so fun and easy! I will be making a bunch for Christmas this week. I think I'll sell them for $2 a piece. Let me know if you like them, I will take special orders....

Tina picked and pickled a peck of peppers

My first batch of pickled peppers. I have never tried this before so I hope they are yummy. They look yummy....don't they? The next batch is SALSA!

Summer Harvest

Well, It.s been a few weeks since my last post and I have to tell you I've been quite busy! We have a large garden in our back yard and all of a sudden we are slammed with fresh peppers, beets, tomatoes, radishes, dill, basil, and squash. Weeding consumes a lot of my time since the garden is rather large, however it is all worth it since we can and preserve most of what we grow and enjoy it later in the year. Anyway, I have been to two stamp meetings and have lots to share so hopefully I will make a few posts in the next couple of days to catch you up with all the happenings.  Here's a few pics of the garden and such for now and stay tuned for more.....
