WaterColorTrio Card

This is one of my first samples I created for my workshop. Stampin'Up! offers a full line of color coordinated papers, inks, pens, papers, ribbons, as well as fabulous stamps. I started out with just 3 stamp sets and 1 packet of paper so I wanted to show that you didn't need a lot to start stamping. So, I chose to stick with black and white and add red as an accent.  This is a standard 4-1/4 x 5-1/2 (half sheet) Whisper White cardstock. I ran the Basic Black backround piece  thru the Big Shot with one of the Perfect Details texture plates. The flower is from the Watercolor Trio set in the Summer mini catalog. I just stamped it in black and layered with Real Red and Basic Black. The bottom piece of Real Red was punched using the Eyelet Border punch. I finished it of with a small organza bow. I just love the elegant look it has....don't you?

Remodeled Craft Room/Office

This is a work in progress...but I am so excited! I was able to purchase this Ikea Expedit bookcase recently and I just love it! I haven't quite figured out what to put in it and what not to put in it. But this is where it is at this point. I am able to put most of my stamping and scrapbooking paper and supplies in it and it doesn't look too cluttered. I am working on organizing the desk area and will post a picture once I am done along with the before picture which is hideous! This summer has been a great time to de-clutter and re-organize for me.

Stampin Samples

My first Stampin'Up! workshop was held last Sunday and I had to put together a few cards for a display. I am quite please with the way they turned out. Most of them were made by using only a black stamp pad, white paper and another colored paper for accent. I will be posting the individual pictures eventually but here is a preview for you....

June's Craft Project

This cute little plaque was my craft clubs June project. Jen taught us how to make these by using chip board letters, decorative papers, and a small frame. After gluing the paper to the letters and cutting around them with an Exacto knife, we sanded the edges giving it a distressed look, then we glued them to the frame. Very simple and very cute! I can't wait to use the my new Stampin'Up! Designer paper to make one of these....

Craft Night Creation

Once a month I meet with some friends and we do something creative. Each time we do something different and it's not always stamping. This month my friend Jolynn hosted and we did Vision Boards. A Vision Board is simply something to inspire you...a list of things you like, or want to achieve, whatever you like. I did mine on Creativity. We used old magazines to cut out phrases (you could use pictures too) and then glued them to a pretty piece of paper. Since my new craft room/office is black and white I chose to stick with those colors. I photocopied the magazine words then glued them on the paper. I think this goes well with my new room and my "Creative" spirit I am trying to re-establish. Stay tuned for other projects we've done in the past....
Welcome to my new blog! After rejoining Stampin'Up! after 10 years, I am excited to get back into creating wonderful stamped projects and sharing them with friends. Please check back as I will be posting pictures soon and getting this blog rolling. Feel free to leave a comment if you see something you like. Thanks for stopping by.
